I pride myself on being a results oriented, hands-on individual with progressive management experience. My management style strongly emphasizes teamwork and the principles of lean manufacturing. My career path has afforded me a variety of opportunities to apply and expand my skills in the areas of business operational efficiency, management consulting, project management and human relations practices, leading to my latest role as a Human Resources Consultant. My experience has been honed via a wide range of industries and an impressive employer list: Hudaco Industries, Trident Steel, Rectron, CHC Group, Ultra Litho and Timken South Africa.

I have a solid track record with over fifteen years’ experience across a broad range of human resource functions. My primary experience has been obtained in senior management roles within manufacturing and distribution operations.

As a senior manager of a multi-national company, I was responsible for the HR operations of a number of facilities across the African continent and UAE. Due to a complex matrix  structure, I reported to numerous individuals across the globe, requiring a significant amount of international travel. My role was to lead a team of Ops managers for a number of facilities while managing a group of HR personnel at our local office.

I contributed to the architecture of a catalogue of services which defined the deliverables that the Operations leaders in each of the countries / facilities was responsible for. The Catalogue of Services included the following HR activities:

Compensation and Benefits activities; Employee Stewardship / Advocacy; Employee Relations and Performance Management; Driving the HR Shared Services agenda through HRIS;  Leading local administration of HR in the various facilities; Management support and development; Mobility; Staffing and On-boarding.

I am currently freelancing as an HR consultant for Hypedup Marketing, which has allowed me to assist businesses by handling  staff management needs from payroll and employee recruitment, staff benefits and policy manuals. I also ensure that they stay compliant with all relevant labour legislation.
